The Barrie Police Service has set up a central phone line for anyone who needs assistance related to the tornado in Barrie. Please call 705-728-8442 – call takers will take callers’ information to ensure a follow-up from the proper organization.

July 16 @ 11am: We thank everyone who has shared donations for those affected by the tornado in Barrie yesterday afternoon. At this point, we are unable to accept any further donations. Updates will be provided if further donations are needed. Thank you to everyone who has provided donations.

Please use this dedicated email address for e-transfer donations to help families impacted by the tornado: BFUtornado@gmail.com – at this point, there is no more capacity for physical donations, but the need for support will continue in the days and weeks as families figure out their next steps

Through the efforts of BDAR and their Realtor members, there have been 5 families matched with short term rentals. This includes about 25 people and multiple pets.

In addition, together with their 1,300+ Realtor® Members and the community, BDAR is matching short-terms rentals with those in need due to the Barrie Tornado. They are building a list of families and individuals in need and communicating with them when a rental is available that is suitable to their needs.
