About the Panelists
Grant Kilpatrick, Operations Manager for Niagara – Georgian Bay, Enbridge Gas Inc.
Grant leads the operations and maintenance of the natural gas distribution systems in Niagara Region and Georgian Bay. He supports safe and reliable energy delivery to over 750,000 customers across 44 municipalities. He currently has 7 Supervisory direct reports with unionized crews that respond to emergencies, perform pipeline repairs, customer work and perform maintenance on Enbridge assets.
With over 31 years of experience at Enbridge Gas, Grant has held roles in various functions including Maintenance, Training, Construction, Work Management, Damage Prevention, and Operations.
He has been a Work Management functional lead for the implementation of Enbridge work and asset management project. He has also held positions with the Ontario Regional Common Ground Alliance. He personally supports Enbridge’s commitment to a safe workplace including diversity, integrity and inclusion.
Bike Balkanci, Director of Operations – GTA West & Niagara Region, Enbridge Gas Inc.
Bike leads the operations, maintenance, construction and growth of the natural gas distribution systems in Peel, Simcoe and Niagara Regions, and is accountable for safe and reliable energy delivery to over 750,000 customers across 44 municipalities. With over 15 years of experience at Enbridge Gas, Bike has held roles in various functions including Engineering, Distribution Planning, Damage Prevention & Safety, Quality Management, Operations and Major Projects. Her industry experience also includes commissioning of natural gas facilities in Peru. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Rotman School of Business, Toronto and Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto. She is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. Bike lives in Toronto with her husband and daughter.
