Big Splash Swimming Academy

About Us

Barries first Private indoor swim school designed and built for babies, toddlers and children. We live locally and we are parents too. Over the past 18 years in South Africa and Canada, We have taught thousands of children and adults to learn to swim with a pioneering approach. We understand the best environment to teach children to learn to swim, while having loads of fun. Our highly trained, gentle and patient instructors are passionate about teaching children and adults of all ages one of life?s most valuable and greatest skills. Our approach is based on the principle that learning to swim proficiently enhances both physical and mental well-being. Our unique BIG SPLASH swimming lessons provide a simple and natural way to become water-safe while adopting a correct and comfortable swimming style in a fun, non-intimidating way. With our small (that is always warm), indoor heated pool we help children to adapt to these philosophies without the fears and distractions that come with classes in large, over-crowded public pools. Each program ranges from infant, toddler and children. All students work with their instructors on a personal level.
