About Us

Established in 2001, The Barrie Baycats are an independent team of the Intercounty Baseball League based in Barrie, Ontario. They play their home games at Coates Stadium at the Barrie Community Sports Complex in Midhurst, Ontario. With a rich history and now 7 Championships, 6 which have been in a row! The Barrie Baycats are the elite team currently in the IBL. The organization is a non-profit and has been supporting the local community in various ways for the past 20 years! A non for profit organization that has brought a high level of baseball to Simcoe County to be enjoyed by families at reasonable cost.

COVID-19 Advisory

In response to evolving data around the Delta variant and based on the recent experiences of other jurisdictions, the government, in consultation with Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, is pausing the exit from the Roadmap to Reopen.

The Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts will continue to monitor the data to determine when it is safe to exit the Roadmap and lift the majority of public health and workplace safety measures currently in place.
