Barrie Chamber of Commerce Announces Winner of Santa Claus Parade Theme Contest
Barrie, Ontario – [August 30, 2024] – The Barrie Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the winner of this year’s Barrie Santa Claus Parade Theme Contest! We received many entries from the community and after careful consideration by our committee, Stacey King has been selected as the winner with the theme "Joy to the World: Celebrating Traditional Holiday Music". A special thanks to Instant Imprints for their support, which played a significant role in the success of this contest and engagement of the community.
Both winners will now have the opportunity to appear in the Barrie Santa Claus Parade! A big thank you to everyone who took part in our contest. The Barrie Santa Claus Parade is a long-standing tradition in our community, and we value everyone’s contributions and suggestions.
The chosen theme, "Joy to the World: Celebrating Traditional Holiday Music", beautifully captures the holiday spirit, the vibrancy, and the importance of this milestone celebration. Since 1949, the Barrie Chamber has been organizing the Barrie Santa Claus Parade with pride. We are eagerly anticipating bringing back this tradition to Barrie’s streets on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 5 pm for its 75th edition.

Float registration for the parade will open on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Don't forget to mark your calendars! We're eager to see how everyone brings the theme to life!
