Is your business 51%+ LGBT owned and operated?

Saturday, May 30, 2015

If you are interested in developing your business further and gaining access to corporate procurement opportunities, being certified as an LGBT Business Enterprise can open doors for you.

The Canadian Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) is the certifying body for LGBT businesses in Canada. The CGLCC has been building LGBT Supplier Diversity in Canada since 2012, and officially launched the program at the LGBT Supplier Diversity Forum during WorldPride 2014 Toronto. The goal of the LGBT Supplier Diversity Program is to certify and match LGBT Business Enterprises with the growing number of corporations proactively seeking to diversify their supply chains.

What is Supplier Diversity?

Supplier diversity programs reach out to groups not traditionally included in the supply chain or within the purchasing process of corporations, such as LGBT individuals, women, aboriginals and minorities.

Corporations are being proactive in targeting diverse groups for procurement opportunities and encouraging diverse supplier certification.
