A seminar for HR Professionals, Employers and Business Owners...

Tuesday, January 10, 2012

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, also known as the AODA became law on June 13, 2005. The purpose of the AODA is to develop, implement and enforce mandatory accessibility standards in key areas of daily living. Standards are being developed in Customer Service; Information and Communications; Employment; Transportation; and Building Environment. The accessibility standards will apply to private and public sector organizations across Ontario.

As an HR Professional, Employer and Business Owner, it is crucial to be aware of the standards of Accessibility for your business, municipality or organization within the province of Ontario. This seminar will provide clarification on the AODA, review your legal obligations and give you tools to develop proper policies and procedures to ensure full compliance under this new legislation. Georgian College Centre for Career and Employment Services is pleased to offer this very valuable seminar at NO COST to your organization.
