Hello Barrie Business Owners,
As we all navigate through the challenges associated with COVID-19 and widespread closures, the last thing you want to worry about is a break in or theft at your closed business.
We have provided several tips below that can help prevent crimes from occurring at your business location.
If you would like further information or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Crime Prevention Unit at the contact below.
- Hang or display your empty till in the entrance door or front window to discourage thieves looking for cash.
- Set up a camera with immediate motion alerts to a smartphone.
- Send any video you may have regarding break-ins or suspicious activity to Police to assist in investigations.
- Install motion-activated lights inside your business that activate when someone walks past your location.
- Join the Barrie Police Service Key Holder Registry so that police can quickly contact you if there is an issue at your business. (https://www.barriepolice.ca/
