Scott Builders Inc. are making serious inroads into the Ontario construction marketplace. The Alberta based firm that started as a small regional contractor in Red Deer, AB in 1971 has grown to rank in the top 50 Contractors in Canada. The firm expanded into the Calgary market in 1985, Edmonton in 1994, and in 2008 set up permanent operations in Ontario.
Their plan for Ontario began to unfold in 1993 when they embarked on a building program with Revy Home & Garden, (now RONA) building home improvement centers across the Western Provinces, and into Ontario. Other National Account building programs followed including major national buyers of construction like Frito-Lay Canada For whom Scott have built at multiple locations including Alberta, Ontario and Quebec and Home Hardware in Ontario and Alberta.
Between their National Accounts work and familiarity with the needs of many Ontario based firms, Scott were well positioned to set up operations in Ontario.
Their initial step was to establish an office in Owen Sound. Scott branches soon followed in both Milton and Barrie, positioning the firm to serve clients in southern Georgian Bay and South Western Ontario.
A number of Scott Ontario projects are currently underway or completed. These include a new Home Hardware in Meaford and additions to the Thornbury and Alliston Home Hardware outlets, the supply and erection of steel for the impressive new Owen Sound Regional Recreation Centre along with a major addition and renovations to the Harbour Mills Apartments in Wiarton, and Birmingham Lodge in Mount Forest. Scott were also recently awarded a major design/build contract for the 100,000 sq. ft. City of Oshawa Civic Complex Fieldhouse utilizing their extensive experience built up in the Western Provinces in the design and construction of Recreational facilities and in the design build method of project delivery in general.
Scott Builders Inc. sincerely welcomes the opportunity to serve Industrial, Commercial and Institutional construction buyers in Ontario.
